VISIT Australia

Australia is home to some of the world’s most elusive and endangered wildlife, from the vibrant Gouldian finch of the Northern Territory to the spotted-tailed quoll hidden deep in Queensland’s rainforests. For wildlife explorers, it’s a continent of rare encounters and extraordinary conservation stories.

Spanning across the red outback to its lush coastal ecosystems, Australia is pioneering ambitious reintroduction programmes to help restore native species. Projects like Marna Banggara on the Yorke Peninsula are restoring balance to its ecosystems shaped by both nature and agriculture.

Crucially, these efforts are guided by collaboration. Indigenous knowledge and scientific practice come together to heal land, protect species and reimagine how people and nature coexist. Travellers gain rare access to this unfolding story, witnessing firsthand how conservation, community and country are working in harmony.

Much of Australia's wildlife is challenging to access. Walking alongside researchers and seeing threatened species in the wild is something few travellers get to experience.

OUR FOCUS - THE IBERÁ NATIONAL PARK:

This extraordinary wetland, the largest in Argentina, is home to 30% of the biodiversity in the country including endangered species such as the pampas and marsh deer, the maned wolf and grassland birds like the strange-tailed tyrant.

In 2005, what was to become one of the largest rewilding programs in the Americas was started, with the goal of restoring keystone species that had been extirpated from Iberá through hunting and habitat loss and were extinct in the region, the Province or, in some cases, the country.

As the rewilding program developed, the cultural identity of Iberá began to recover alongside the ecosystems and natural processes, impacting a total population of 100,000 people who surround the park.

Today, Iberá stands as one of the world’s most successful ongoing conservation missions.
