TRAVEL WITH US

How we work

Travel to enrich curiosity, broaden horizons and celebrate our natural world

When we travel we are imbued with a renewed sense of wonder and curiosity for our planet. During up close encounters with extraordinary wildlife, or when embarking on an exhilarating mountain hike, we are reminded of our profound connection to nature.

As a mission-led business each journey is carefully considered, to ensure an inspiring and memorable experience for our guests, and positive impact on the places and people they visit. Every one of our private journeys donates to an environmental partner, and our guests have the opportunity to engage with a project during their travels.

The natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living.

When you travel on a Private Bespoke journey with purpose.

Purpose-First

Our journeys begin with understanding the guest’s purpose for the trip. During a call together, we begin by understanding your interests and desires, by asking what really excites or moves you, and how you want to feel on such a journey.

Consciously curated

Your dedicated travel specialist will create a tailored itinerary proposal for you, drawing upon their extensive knowledge and on-the-ground relationships. We connect you with local characters – from leading thought leaders to local conservationists, rangers, artists, community leaders – to offer a glimpse into the world through their eyes. This is an iterative process, as we will continue to hone your itinerary based on your feedback.

Inspiration and excitement

We request a 30% deposit to secure arrangements. From here, we begin honing the itinerary; securing restaurant bookings, special access experiences and planning little surprises along the way. Based on your interests, your travel specialist will share reading and watching material to introduce you to the place, projects or people you will meet on your journey.

The journey commences

As soon as you touch down in your destination you are met by your host, driver or guide every step of the way. Meanwhile you will have a JWP travel specialist on hand via Whatsapp, to ensure you have 24/7 support throughout your trip.

Depart as guests, return as guardians

We endeavour for you to return home from your journey feeling inspired, rejuvenated and with a renewed passion for the natural world. We don’t understand what we don’t know, and only once we emotionally engage with a place, do we become motivated to protect it.

What to expect
When you travel on a Flagship Hosted journey with purpose

Our hosted journeys are one-of-a-kind immersive experiences in the wild, that offer unprecedented access and insight into the world’s leading conservation projects.

These are set-date departures hosted by the project founder or leader, designed for a small group of curious explorers to deepen their knowledge on the natural world, and be part of the conversation with changemakers who are shifting the needle on the climate crisis.

The group size varies from ten to fourteen and is made up of passionate individuals seeking to lean in, and contribute to, the advancement of nature restoration. They are not exclusive to those with conservation experience, but instead offer a “think tank in the wild” for exploring ideas and exchanging knowledge.

When a journey is launched, places are limited and we encourage securing your place as quickly as possible. You can enquire for more information or apply to join a journey by reaching out to us via the Contact page.

OUR FOCUS - THE IBERÁ NATIONAL PARK:

This extraordinary wetland, the largest in Argentina, is home to 30% of the biodiversity in the country including endangered species such as the pampas and marsh deer, the maned wolf and grassland birds like the strange-tailed tyrant.

In 2005, what was to become one of the largest rewilding programs in the Americas was started, with the goal of restoring keystone species that had been extirpated from Iberá through hunting and habitat loss and were extinct in the region, the Province or, in some cases, the country.

As the rewilding program developed, the cultural identity of Iberá began to recover alongside the ecosystems and natural processes, impacting a total population of 100,000 people who surround the park.

Today, Iberá stands as one of the world’s most successful ongoing conservation missions.
