Zimbabwe offers a combination of vast national parks, dramatic landscapes and superb biodiversity, also home to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the Victoria Falls. Over the last few years, considerable investment has been put into its wilderness areas with a growing range of safari camps on offer and a continued excellent standard of guiding. We love Zimbabwe for Hwange National Park’s superb walking safaris, Matobo Hills’ ancient cave paintings and the wide range of land and water based safari activities available from Lake Kariba to Mana Pools National Park.
We don’t currently run a Hosted Journey to Zimbabwe, but regularly create tailor-made itineraries for our bespoke travellers. Sign up to our Field Report to hear what we’re saying about favourite properties, hand-picked experiences and the destinations you’ll never forget.
Whether you want to seek Mana Pool’s Big Tuskers, renowned for standing on their back legs to graze the fresh foliage in higher branches, or immerse yourself in the ancient cultural history and breathtaking scenery of Matobo Hills, Zimbabwe offers plentiful big game, expansive landscapes and an exceptional standard of guiding. Combining well with Botswana via easy access into Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta, Zambia and The Cape, please reach out to the team to begin planning an unforgettable deep dive into Zimbabwe’s beautiful country and beyond.
Our Impact Pledge is our commitment to support the advancement of pioneering conservation projects through direct donations with every journey. In 2023, and our second calendar year, we raised and directed over $50,000 to grassroot conversation projects. We do this by created hosted and private conservation travel experiences in the Democratic Republic of Congo and around the world.
This extraordinary wetland, the largest in Argentina, is home to 30% of the biodiversity in the country including endangered species such as the pampas and marsh deer, the maned wolf and grassland birds like the strange-tailed tyrant.
In 2005, what was to become one of the largest rewilding programs in the Americas was started, with the goal of restoring keystone species that had been extirpated from Iberá through hunting and habitat loss and were extinct in the region, the Province or, in some cases, the country.
As the rewilding program developed, the cultural identity of Iberá began to recover alongside the ecosystems and natural processes, impacting a total population of 100,000 people who surround the park.
Today, Iberá stands as one of the world’s most successful ongoing conservation missions.
