Located in North Africa, Morocco is home to a diverse range of landscapes, from the majestic Atlas and Rif Mountains to the vast Sahara Desert and pristine Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines. Its rich culture is a vibrant blend of Berber, Arab and European influences, evident in its music, dance and notable architecture. Heritage sites like the medinas of Fez and Marrakesh showcase Morocco’s historical depth whilst the country’s wildlife appeals to ornithologists with its diverse bird species. Explore bustling souks with an informative guide, trek into the vast, encompassing  Atlas Mountains for a hot air balloon ride or memorable culinary experience, and summit the Sahara’s sand dunes by camel or quad. Our Impact Pledge is our commitment to support the advancement of pioneering conservation projects through direct donations with every journey. In 2023, and our second calendar year, we raised and directed over $50,000 to grassroot conversation projects. We do this by created hosted and private conservation travel experiences in Morocco and around the world.

It was a great privilege to learn about this beautiful part of the world with Barbara and Christoph Promberger. Their vision for the Foundation they have created to protect and sustain it and what they have achieved is phenomenal. Riding round the meadows and hills behind Barbara on my fabulous steed Aida was one of the most exhilarating moments of my life! The flora and abundance of insect life were heaven and we had unexpectedly close encounters with bears, beavers and bison and felt the lurking presence of wolves, lynx and boar. The ecosystem of the Făgăraș Mountains is alive and well and how lucky I was to explore it in the care of JWP.

OUR FOCUS - THE IBERÁ NATIONAL PARK:

This extraordinary wetland, the largest in Argentina, is home to 30% of the biodiversity in the country including endangered species such as the pampas and marsh deer, the maned wolf and grassland birds like the strange-tailed tyrant.

In 2005, what was to become one of the largest rewilding programs in the Americas was started, with the goal of restoring keystone species that had been extirpated from Iberá through hunting and habitat loss and were extinct in the region, the Province or, in some cases, the country. 

As the rewilding program developed, the cultural identity of Iberá began to recover alongside the ecosystems and natural processes, impacting a total population of 100,000 people who surround the park.

Today, Iberá stands as one of the world’s most successful ongoing conservation missions.
