Rebecca Cook

HEAD OF SALES

Travel and the natural world have always been central to Rebecca’s life.

From her childhood spent exploring the moors, woodlands, and coastlines of southwest UK to her more recent experiences tracking lions on foot across the savannas of Africa, nature has been a constant source of inspiration.

Rebecca qualified as a teacher in 2013 and spent a wealth of time teaching in London, as well as in South Africa, Zambia, and India. While working in local orphanages, schools, and hospitals, she fell in love with the kindness, compassion, and enthusiasm for life that these inspirational young people displayed.

Driven by a desire to share these unique places, cultures, and experiences with others, she decided to embark on a new career path.

Since then, Rebecca has found herself on a continuous adventure. From immersing herself in new cultures and watching shooting stars in the Kalahari to diving in the crystal-clear oceans of Indonesia, planting coral reefs in the Maldives, and photographing hummingbirds in Costa Rica, her experiences have been remarkable.

Other highlights include flying high above the thundering mass of Victoria Falls, tracking jaguars along the white sands of the Osa Peninsula, hiking the snow-capped mountains of Europe, drifting through the meandering channels of the Okavango Delta, and gazing upon some of the most endangered wildlife species on Earth.

OUR FOCUS - THE IBERÁ NATIONAL PARK:

This extraordinary wetland, the largest in Argentina, is home to 30% of the biodiversity in the country including endangered species such as the pampas and marsh deer, the maned wolf and grassland birds like the strange-tailed tyrant.

In 2005, what was to become one of the largest rewilding programs in the Americas was started, with the goal of restoring keystone species that had been extirpated from Iberá through hunting and habitat loss and were extinct in the region, the Province or, in some cases, the country.

As the rewilding program developed, the cultural identity of Iberá began to recover alongside the ecosystems and natural processes, impacting a total population of 100,000 people who surround the park.

Today, Iberá stands as one of the world’s most successful ongoing conservation missions.
