20th – 31st March 2024
Journeys With Purpose is honoured to announce an immersive impact experience in partnership with Daughters for Earth and Soul Safaris. This journey offers first-hand engagement with the societal and environmental facing women across Kenya, in a rare opportunity to unite and collaborate among female change makers, from the warriors at the frontline to the thought leaders catalysing action.
In Daughters’ inaugural journey, Co-founders Zainab Salbi and Rachel Rivera, will be your hosts and accompany you through the eye-opening and enlightening stories of women pioneering change in their community and beyond; from protecting the critically endangered pangolin to forming Kenya’s all-female ranger unit, to a deeply moving birthing ceremony.
Join a group of engaged, empowered and visionary women to catalyse action for the safeguarding of women, and the planet.
At the beginning of 2022, Daughters for Earth launched to raise $100 million for women-led efforts to protect and restore the Earth.
Their approach is backed by science, which outlines three key pillars of action that will help solve the climate change and biodiversity loss crises and limit global temperature rise to the critical threshold of 1.5°C.
These actions include: Protecting and restoring 50% of the world's lands and seas;
Adopting regenerative agriculture practices;
Transitioning to renewable energy sources.
Daughters’ works with women across the world to help foster and manifest homegrown projects to realise their impact, by giving the tools to the women on the ground who are at the frontline of the climate crisis.
Daughters for Earth is dedicated to raising and deploying $100 million to women-led projects around the world that are driving change from the ground up. Through a powerful model of collaboration with leading experts, a global advisory council, and trusted partners with decades of experience, Daughters for Earth identifies highly effective women-led projects around the world, and supports them with much-needed funding and awareness.

Daughters for Earth is a movement of women and girls around the world who are rising up to solve climate change and heal our one and only home. Together, we can protect our one Earth and our future.
The approach is rooted in groundbreaking scientific research by One Earth, which has identified three crucial human-led efforts that we can and must make to combat climate change: protecting and restoring lands, waters, and wildlife populations, as well as promoting regenerative agriculture and renewable energy.
Daughters for Earth is committed to providing essential funding to women who are already making a difference in these three areas.
Zainab Salbi
At the age of 23, Zainab founded Women for Women International, a humanitarian organisation dedicated to women survivors of wars. Under her leadership (1993–2011), Women for Women International grew from helping 30 women upon its inception to helping more than 420,000 women and distributing more than 100 million dollars in aid. She has frequently been named as one of the women changing the world by leading publications ranging from Newsweek to The Guardian. Oprah Winfrey identified her as one of the women changing the world to People Magazine and President Bill Clinton identified her as one of the 21st-century heroes to Harper’s Bazaar.
Rachel Rivera

This extraordinary wetland, the largest in Argentina, is home to 30% of the biodiversity in the country including endangered species such as the pampas and marsh deer, the maned wolf and grassland birds like the strange-tailed tyrant.
In 2005, what was to become one of the largest rewilding programs in the Americas was started, with the goal of restoring keystone species that had been extirpated from Iberá through hunting and habitat loss and were extinct in the region, the Province or, in some cases, the country.
As the rewilding program developed, the cultural identity of Iberá began to recover alongside the ecosystems and natural processes, impacting a total population of 100,000 people who surround the park.
Today, Iberá stands as one of the world’s most successful ongoing conservation missions.
