Charlie joined Journeys With Purpose with a passion to continue connecting people with nature, championing local communities, and creating transformative experiences that families and loved ones share. He’s especially drawn to indigenous cultures and traditional ways of living, and believes the deepest travel experiences are the ones that forget technology, and connect you with the rhythm of nature.

With no fixed itinerary, I trekked the rugged Wild Coast. With only the coastline ahead and the next village to reach, my path was clear. Highlights included the local Xhosa culture and community, waking to the ocean’s crashing waves, and enjoying the fisherman’s morning catch.

An incredible journey across the country with vast views amongst grasslands and mountains, unique stays in yurts, and a true sense of being lost in the wild. For an area where I barely saw another soul, the hospitality was unmatched!
