The first stop on your journey is Friwinbonda Island, nestled in the heart of the Dampier Strait, a serene gateway into the otherworldly marine realm of Raja Ampat. Here, in calm, crystal-clear waters, you’ll take your first dive, whether beginner or seasoned explorer, into an aquatic Eden pulsing with life. Glide beside enormous gorgonian sea fans and cross paths with porcupine fish, batfish, and graceful hawksbill turtles.
If luck is with you, a manta ray may drift past like a shadow on silk. But the true wonder lies in the riot of colour below the surface: luminous corals, velvet sponges, vibrant tunicates, and bommies rising like temples from the reef. Where Ocean Giants Meet Island Life
Today takes you to Mansuar Island and the nearby village of Airborek, a place where Raja Ampat’s marine richness and living culture converge. For a higher perspective, a rainforest hike to Pindito Hill reveals sweeping views across the archipelago, one of Raja Ampat’s most iconic panoramas.
